I do not hate Tim Burton's Apes film, but it was still missing something. Even though Battle is the weakest of the original film series, I will easily pick it here.

Same here. I completely agree with people when they say Battle for the Planet of the Apes was an unnecessary sequel, but I still got some enjoyment out of it. It's hardly the best of the series, but it does have some fun moments. The remake on the other hand...heugh. Yes, it's "heugh" bad. It has great make-up and that's pretty much everything nice to say about it.
