Ladyhawke (1985) vs. White Christmas (1954) Hello, How can I choose? They are both excellent movies, and it totally depends on my mood. I love them BOTH. I'm going to say White Christmas, just because I often put movies like it in while I am cleaning because of the music.

White Christmas contains much that I don't like when I think of musicals. It's story in service of its songs and stars. Apart from the lack of massive dance numbers, it's more like a Busby Berkeley musical from the 30s than the Sound of Music. Or even something like Pal Joey. I much prefer Ladyhawke which manages to charm despite the music.
