Technically, The Professional is really a better film, I suppose. But whereas I only discovered it for the first time recently, The Jackal is one of those action movies I watched a dozen times when I was a teenager, yet I haven't seen it in years. For now, nostalgia wins the vote, but this is one I could easily see myself changing my mind on.

Both Willis and Gere disappoint in Jackal.

willis and Gere are great in the Jackal a very cool action flick but the Professional i like more based on its story and the connection with young Portman it wins by a small margin
The Jackal has a special place in my heart...so I'm going that way...
