two of Elia Kazan's best works.

Streetcar was just alright in my opinion. East of Eden was great. Both films have a fantastic lead performance though (Brando and Dean).
I have zero love for Streetcar. East of Eden doesn't sniff Dean's other works...but it wins here.

Kazan does Williams justice here while oversimplifying Steinbeck. An easy win for Streetcar IMHO.

Streetcar was a decent film but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did East of Eden. Like JC13 said Brando and Dean are both terrific.
