I hope this matchup becomes really popular. As a Sonic fan, I prefer the Mario movie here. I'm a fan of both Mario and Sonic, and I loved both of these movies, but Mario was more enjoyable to me. But Mario Movie Vs. Sonic 2 is a different story.

I feel like the Mario movie is better at being a Mario movie than Sonic was at being a Sonic movie, but the Sonic movie does a better job at being welcoming to people that don't know the franchise than the Mario movie was. Then again the Sonic movie has way more eye rolling attempts at humor than the Mario movie does, and the Mario movie does a better job with it's side characters than Sonic did...hm. I guess they're kinda even to me, if I didn't like Sonic more than Mario? Sonic 2 is better than both though, for sure.

Mario wins but both are fine harmless family flicks.

For me the movie came out with a good main character he's a little bad it's the Sonic movie
