Both are "overlong", but I'll take people talking any day over people walking.
Both films are LONG but EPIC, bottom line. The Fellowship of the Ring has a bigger edge over it.

I think TommyDoyle's got a real problem with the duration of many movies :P. Anyway, The Hateful Eight was really good. It just wasn't The Lord of the Rings good.

Hey, Nils, yeah, that's truth, lol. Just look at my list; H8 edged by The Thing, The Godfather and LoA both outside of my top 20, Godfather 2 and the LOTR trilogy, both with lower ratings than they deserve (50-70 range), The Green Mile and GoodFellas, I liked them, but they got a bad rating on my chart, AND, the worst of all, when I've first watched GBU, I almost feel sleep. So yeah, long movies just aren't my kind ;p
