J. Edgar vs. My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?

Tough one. Both are thoroughly flawed pictures. J. Edgar doesn't develop the central relationship nearly enough and comes off as a shallow, unengaging character study. My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done? is bizarre in typical Herzog fashion- packing far too many oddities and quirks into a story that could have used more focus. J. Edgar wins only for being more coherent.
