Got to say that I didn't think much of The Host the first time I saw it, and I reckon if I went back and took another look I'd appreciate its satire a bit more. Regardless, it's still a better monster film than Anaconda.

The Host may have had odd acting but they were semi amature and the whole film was one hell of a monster film one of the best Korean Horror films cause of the effects and action with an emotional family story to boot!
Semi-amateur? Did we watch the same Host?
