F Nausicaa. F it right in the ear. Perhaps I'm the only one who feels this way. Akira was amazing until I threw the plot out the window, but it did blow up real good.

Nausicaa beats Akira. Akira is a tremendous film but Nausicaa is art.

As someone who is an admitted novice when it comes to Japanese anime, I'm shocked I'd have an opinion about this match-up, but I'm kind of excited to say I actually do. Akira started out promising and then flies off the rails. Nausicaa on the other hand is an amazing piece of animation that is my personal favorite Miyazaki.

Best comic adaptations. Akira is the height of 2D, but Nausicaa is the story I prefer.
