Scarface vs. A Bronx Tale

I would have to believe that I'm in the definite minority here, but I've always felt that "Scarface" is outrageously overrated. I love DePalma, and any number of his films would rank high on my all-time faves list, but this effort of his is certainly not among them. This round goes to "Bronx".

a bronx tale is better!!

"You don't even like him. There's you answer right there.... He owes you $20. He's out of your life for $20. You got off cheap" "Is it better to be loved or feared... It's nice if it's both, but if I had my choice I'd take fear. Fear lasts longer". Bronx Tale, easily.

Bronx Tale is a well done coming of age drama set in a time and place that was highly turbulent and happens to showcase some gangsters. It's a good movie, but there are plenty of movies that are similar that are equally as good or better. Scarface is a rarity... it's a reboot that's better than the original. It can get a little slow at times, but its grit keeps it from getting boring and has way more quotable lines. "All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one."
