The Force Awakens gets the edge as the better 2015 film.

The Revenant is better, but I gotta give the edge to Star Wars here for now.
Loved The Force Awakens, but The Revenant blew me away.

The Revenant was amazing, but it's still The Force Awakens...
I liked The Revenant but I felt the duration of that film more heavily than I felt the duration of TFA. In other words, I simply had more fun with TFA.

Probably 2 of my most anticipated films of 2015 at the beginning of last year. I've seen TFA twice and it never transcended above "good." Solidly made, but very little stood out to me as outstanding. The Revenant on the other hand was almost everything I hoped it would be.
