Definitely T2. Most will disagree but I find myself frustrated every single time I watch 2001. And NO, I do not like T2 for its action, I love it for the relationship between the terminator and John, the father/son bond they create. that's why i mainly like t2. Its my 2nd favorite movie so yeah
I'm also frustrated by 2001: A Space Odyssey (it's mostly the pacing of it). Terminator 2: Judgment Day is much more populist, which suits my tastes better.
Personally, I didn't mind the pacing of 2001. I loved everything about that movie.
Hasta la vista 2001....T2 wins.

T2 is the best action film and it beats one of Kubrick's best.
T2...by far.
T2 was loads of fun, but come on fellas. 2001 sticks with me like very few movies have ever done.
T2 sticks with me with those incredible action scenes and the emotional ending "thumbs up."

Terminator 2 beats every Kubrick film as far as I'm concerned....

WOW 2 terrific sci fi films with outstanding special effects for the time especially for 2001 but T2 Judgment Day is the better between the 2 in my opinion
