The best films yet from this couple.
I'm gonna be a old-timey here, but yeah, the man is better than the wife. Actually, I love Greta's acting, especially in her husband's Frances Ha, and also her writing. But I found her direction rather flawed, showcasing serious pacing problems. Also, I'm not a huge fan of period pieces and I couldn't get really involved with the story. Marriage Story is actually very immersive, well-written and incredibly acted. Also also, the better Laura Dern performance. I wonder how it is to work with a married couple, same year, btw.
