Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl vs. Jurassic Park

"If the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." -Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). I have to put it here.

'Pirates' is good fun, but in my eyes 'Jurassic Park' will forever be a classic.

Jurassic Park wins, because of its legacy.

Pirates vs Dionsaurs....Pirates

I love both of these, for being sheer fun. My wife & I recently re-watched "JP" for the umpteenth time and found all kinds of nitpicks. We ultimately decided that none of them, or even the cumulative effect of all of them, could deter us from loving the movie. It wins here.

You might be able to nitpick Jurassic Park to death (I just watched it only a couple weeks ago, and I didn't, but I suppose you could), but nothing in it could be as glaring as this: What is the point of challenging the undead to a swordfight? Look, I think Pirates is good dumb fun and all, but the movie is absolutely nothing without Johnny Depp (and, to a lesser extent, Geoffrey Rush). Meanwhile, Jurassic Park also has a fine cast (and a nice quirky character in Goldblum's Malcolm), but it holds up anyway under its own merits.

Jurassic Park!

Jurassic Park 100%

Jurassic Park blows past any Pirates adventure....

Love them both, but I gotta go with Pirates.

Both.

Jurassic Park all the way. Tyrannosaurus Rex would destroy those pirates.
