Very Difficult!

Talk about long-ass titles. Pirates gets the easy win.

Very close. Both very good fantasy adventures of the early-mid noughties, although both have slipped in my estimations (going from maybe an 8 to a 7-7.5/10 depending on my mood). If you asked me a few years ago, I would have probably gone for Narnia, but nowadays, despite the sequels having robbed it of much of what made it special, I'd probably pick PotC, on the grounds that it was a much higher-risk project that ultimately paid off. Narnia had the advantage of being released post-LOTR, when the tradition fantasy genre was riding on a high, and therefore much more marketable. This also means that Narnia suffers from feeling to much like a clone of LOTR (although not alone at that time), while Pirates feels more like it's own thing.

I think Black Paerl narrowly wins.
