OK. Barbarella is a garish sci-fi flick starring Jane Fonda in silly outfits. Spirits of the Dead has a short horror story in it starring Jane Fonda in silly outfits. Both are directed by Roger Vadim. I can say that Barbarella is better than Vadim's work in Spirits of the Dead, but that's not saying much. The other two short stories in Spirits of the Dead aren't all that great, but maybe a feature-length version of the story directed by Louis Malle might've been good enough to beat Barbarella. As a whole, Spirits of the Dead is too mediocre, though. Not that Barbarella isn't mediocre, but it's never quite as blah as Spirits of the Dead.
