Please don't kill me, but although I love quite a lot of scenes from Inglourious Basterds I would rather watch FF VII again.

I like Advent Children better than most video game movies out there. It knows what people liked about the game Final Fantasy VII and aimed to give them what they wanted. That said, the action scenes have some of the most annoying use of quick cuts and disorienting editing I've ever seen, which really does hurt it. Inglourious Basterds, while perhaps not Tarantino's best work, is still a much better-crafted movie than Advent Children.
I thought the use of tracking in Advent Children pretty much struck gold. It's the spiritualist crap that bugs me about Advent Children. Great film and all, but Inglorious Basterds it is.
