Old School Scorcese vs New School Scorcese! How the hell does one choose? Well Both are phenomenal films, but based on performances and stories, I gotta pick Goodfellas.

Daniel Day Lewis outshines everybody in both films, but the entire ensemble is much better in Goodfellas. That's one reason it gets the nod. It may be Scorsese's best.

goodfellas one of the best mob movies of all time.based on true events and real mobsters,look up the lufthansa heist if you want to know more about the real goodfellas.

Gangs of New York is underrated if you ask me. That being said Goodfellas still comes out on top.

Martin Scorcese has made many wonderful films and these are two of his masterpieces. For me, these are the absolute best. Gangs of New York ultimately ranks higher for me because of the incredible perfomance of Daniel Day-Lewis. While DeNiro and Pesci are remarkable in Goodfellas, so is Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York. It is one of the best performances by Lewis in his career and Scorcese's direction is flawless.

Gangs of New York is Scorces's most underrated work. But nothing beats Goodfellas.
