Maleficent really surprised me by how they were able to give depth to a great villainess like Maleficent and actually turn her into a hero in this particular retelling. Was this the story of Sleeping Beauty? No, it was the story of Maleficent. Meanwhile, Robocop did a few things different than the original but it was still the same basic story. Ho-hum. Maleficent wins this fight.
