As good as Kubrick is, and hes not tht great. Scorsese is better. Raging Bull is one of the best character studies and the best film on domestic abuse. Full Metal Jacket is a good anti-Vietnam film but it has been done better in Casualties of War, Apocalypse Now. However i like it better than Platoon.
