You son of a b*tch! I knew I shouldn't have clicked on the 60's filter!

Dang, that's tough. I guess TGTBATU, but only by a little bit.

very tough one...uhm...i'll vote for butch cassidy...

Butch Cassidy was simply the more enjoyable of the two.

I'll take Eastwood, Van Cleef and Wallach in a Western any day over Redford and Newman, who never seemed believable as tough outlaws.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is insignificant compared The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Cassidy and Sundance just putz around throughout most of the movie. That whole "Who are those guys?" chase became tedious before long, and the rest of the movie was barely memorable. In fact, I've seen it a couple of times and the only scene that readily comes to mind is the "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" part. And that's only because it's so gratingly out of place in the film. True, The Good could've been a bit shorter, but for the most part it's funnier, grittier and more exciting in every single way. I've seen quite a few Westerns, and I'd place Butch Cassidy beneath the majority of them.

Everything KingofPain said goes double for me. The western is probably my favorite film genre, yet Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid puts me to sleep. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is how a western is supposed to be.

Picking Butch Cassidy doesn't put Eastwood and Co. to shame. TGBAaU was great...it is everything you look for in a western. But Butch Cassidy was the first true "buddy flick" and it was awesome. WAR Butch and Sundance...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly wins of course... but i must add i enjoyed butch cassidy too

two masterpieces... i choose The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

TGTBTU is the supreme western atm.

the good the dad and the ugly is the greatest western ever maid.Butch cassidy and the sundance kid is to long and boring, but it is not terrible.

I meant to say bad not dad.

Such a cool match right here. I really can't choose. I'll let my rankings speak for me because I honestly don't know which I have ranked higher as I type this.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is THE western and is superior. But Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is also one of the best westerns ever made.

Sorry Butch and the Sundance Kid but TGTBTU is damn amazing to me and it wins by far.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford were a great and funny duo, but I prefer Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach just because their relationship is more interesting and on the first viewing, you don't know what will happen to them, meanwhile you know that Butch and Sundance are good friends and won't leave each other. As a movie, I also prefer The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. TGTBATU's soundtrack also makes this such an easy decision for me.

I love Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,but it's easily The Good,The Bad and the Ugly.

No matter how good Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is,it get's destroyed by The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Talk about your shitty decisions. Whoa. Um... The Good The Bad and The Ugly is one of my favorite westerns, and that last scene, I mean come on! But when you talk about on screen duos and the perfect chemistry, there is no better match up than Robert Redford and Paul Newman. Checkmate, boys.

Two great westerns and I love both, but this is not hard at all for me. GBU easily wins. Everything about it is sheer perfection. The acting, the score, the script, the plot, the cinematography, the way the characters are introduced, the way their paths cross, the character development, the dramatic conclusion... I have yet to find a flaw.

Love Butch and Cassidy but Good,Bad and Ugly wins easy its the better film wiith great action and fantastic acting.

The Good Bad and Ugly is the better film but not by a long shot its close cause Butch and Sundance are so compelling

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly takes the win for me. The final 15 minutes is one of the most thrilling conclusions of all time.

Good Bad and Ugly wins the shootout its close but I like the story more it that simple.

I looooooooooooooove Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,but GBU crushes it.

Butch Cassidy for faster pacing, more fun, and not being so gorram long.

Love both of them, but that in no way makes them a fair match, TGTBATU is hands down the best western ever made and probably ever will be made. Clint and co win this in a first round K.O.

Both Classics.,both are so damn good , but so different.I love interesting dialogue , and Butch and sundance delivers, it's so awesome watching Newman and Redford work together in their primes(newman is my favorite actor btw)........but truly nothing is more impressive than watching the gbu whenever Wallach shares the screen with Eastwood........and the way Van Cleef portrays the bad......SO memorable.....The Good The Bad, and The Ugly wins but true respect to it's competition.....I own both movies!!

The Good the Bad and the Ugly is a 100 times better.

Butch Cassidy is fine, but in terms of structure and tone, it’s incredibly uneven. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly isn’t just a superb western. It’s filmmaking, screenwriting, tension and sheer excitement at its best! The Ecstasy Of Gold scene alone is better than anything in Butch!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a top 5 All-time Western, but it still isn't on the level of 'The Good the Bad and the Ugly'. The last 30 minutes alone, of TGTBATU , is enough to make it the greatest Western of all time.

Too much nostalgia to not vote for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

the good, the bad, and the ugly wins
