this is the hardest decision of my day.
M is the story of a man who becomes an unintentional serial killer because of a desire he can't control. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest center's around a group of patients who have become institutionalized because they are fearful on not being controlled. M is the superior look at someone who has become sick through no fault of their own, but their illness leads to tragedy. Cuckoo's Nest is brilliant in it's own right, but looks more at institutional control than disease.
^ Yes, I think I'm more fascinated by the concept of mental disease than institutional control. I think M is the better film as well.
Two films about mental health. M is probably better for me but it's quite tedious at times but has a great and dark ending. For the historical importance, M.
Cuckoo's Nest crushes M in the entertainment department.
I could not get into M.
both brilliant, but i much prefer lang to forman here
