I suppose American Tail has more impact but i do genuinely enjoy Great Mouse Detective. Bluth took it to Disney that year, outperforming them at the box office the year after The Black Cauldron was beaten by, wait for it, The Carebears Movie. Of course, we all know Disney would turn things around.
