Denzel was great in both of these films. They were both powerful films in their own way. The Book of Eli of course shows the power of religion and the necessity of the bible in life. However, Great Debaters had the better story line. Also it had one of Denzel's most understated roles. He wasn't the center of attention in this role that is only comparable to his role in Glory. He played an important part but not the most important part. Also the acting was more evened out in Great Debaters where Book of Eli focused almost solely of its talents on Washington.

Today I learned the Bible is a necessity in life. Thank you "Black Dragon". Imagine how those dumb 5 billion non christians on earth are living without the Bible.
