Children of the corn isnt all that scary on the surface but the overall tone and setting make it a good classic 80s horror film yes the King novel is way better but it still is a great midnight flick while Hellraiser is one of the great horror films of the era and pinhead and CO. are brilliant anti-heroes and great as villains when need be such a fantastic film!

HR wins for pacing alone. While Children of the Corn is better than other films in this area, it still takes a long time for anything to actually happen.

Hellraiser was a bore, but it still had its moments. Children of the Corn was just horribly boring, dull and overlong.
