These are both very good monster invasion movies with similar stories. I think I will go with Super 8 at the moment but you really can't go wrong either way.

I love The Host, it's edgy and creepy.

I'll go with the more expensive-looking Super 8 'cause I'm shallow like that.

Super 8 was a better shot film while Host has the terror and better monster.

Super 8 is solid diet-Spielberg, but The Host is another more unique beast entirely
