It's weird that nobody has commented on this yet. I love the tension in The Thing but I gotta go with TDK.
I have no problem being TIED TO THIS F*CKING COUCH when watching TDK.

Two awesome films, brimming with tension, excitement and all-around great performances. These two films are their respective director's masterpieces. I absolutely loved the 'one-at-a-time' style of The Thing, and I have enjoyed this in a few other films (Predator, etc). But The Dark Knight benefits from having Heath Ledger's menacing Joker and it also has the honour of being the pinnacle of all superhero films. Sorry Childs and Macready, I think I might just let you guys freeze to death out there...
Could go either way.

The Dark Knight, a million times! I just couldn't get into The Thing unfortunately
