Goodfellas. Everything about that movie is perfect.
TDK, although the scene with Spider is amazing.
Goodfellas was chock full of ad libbing and spontaneity, and it was just business as usual. Ledger improvises a little bit in TDK and people cry "masterpiece". We're not heading in a good direction.

I'd love to see The Dark Knight, or any Batman movie, from the perspective from the gangsters, in a GoodFellas-type of style. That would be interesting, at least.
Goodfellas is a much better movie in my opinion. The Dark Knight is still up there amongst films like Goodfellas, but it loses this one with ease.

Goodfellas imo is way better. It's surprising how well this film holds up today. It's edited to perfection, paced perfectly, the story is comprehensive, themes implemented perfectly, etc. The dialogue and writing is crisp and fun. Nothing seems wasted and it ends up making an extremely memorable movie.
