Very tough decision, but for now Dark Knight wins because I've seen it well over 10 times and it captivates me each time.

Two amazing films from two of my favorite directors make this a really tough decision. In the end though, The Dark Knight has to win.

Only a handful of films beat The Dark Knight and The Social Network isn't one of them.

Many films can beat either of these, Grover, but TSN is definitely better.

Would you believe I actually enjoyed the characterisations more in The Social Network. Plus it doesn't suffer from 'stupid when trying to by smart-itis' as TDK does in one or two scenes. Both immensely entertaining though.

These are both great films. Even down to the music. But TDK rules out.

Brutally tough call here. I'll go with the Network....

Honestly the only reason I like The Dark Knight is because of Heath Ledger, who performed better than anyone else in the film combined. So I'm gonna go with The Social Network, because each performance is equally as good as the next. Also, if you wanna take these films apart, and rate them on each main contributor, (such as music, diolgue, cinematography, etc) then The Social Network would win. It's just a better film in my eyes.

I agree with JRM in saying that the Dark Knight is still captivating after the dozenth time. I do love Social Network though.

Dark Knight has a lot of clunkers, a lot of loopholes, and has a lot of theme to get through and characters. it does an amazing job getting through all of the slosh and the ambition is awesome but Social network is perfect in every aspect while maintaning it's ambition. Now I do think Nolan is a better director but Fincher got his Masterpiece on this one.

Giving the edge to The Dark Knight.

Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight wins.

I gotta say The Social Network is a much better film in general. Better acting, script and enjoyment. I love how the film is kinda like Raging Bull, it tells the story of an a-hole.

I'm going with the Caped Crusader.

The Dark Knight for me.TSN didn't make me feel anything.I felt emotionally detached from the film.TDK on the other hand stuck with me for a long time after my initial viewing. And it still amazes me.

Ugh, this hurts my brain. I'll go with 'The Dark Knight' just because of Heath Ledger's performance.

The Dark Knight by a mile.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked The Dark Knight; but The Social Network is just great

TDK

Never cared that much about The Social Network. HAWCKEY PAHDS.

I like both, but I have to give the edge to TDK in every single category. Ledger over any performance in the SN, Nolan over Fincher, Hanz over Reznor...ect...

Fincher, I love you, you're my fav director, but I gotta give it to Dark Knight. I'll always love Social Network, but Dark Knight stands the test of time better, considering I've seen both in theaters and TDK is older.

Both technical achievements in cinema, but The Dark Knight has entertainment value.

The Dark Knight is a very well made film, but it doesn't compare to The Social Network.

The Dark Knight. But this is close.

Ah, life was simpler then.

the social network because the dark knight sucks

I love the dark knight. It is awesome and one of the most rewatchable movies ever. Saying this I still prefer the social network over it. But like I said I like it a little bit more. Even though it might be not as rewatchable as dark knight

Both are pretty good, but Dark Knight is far the better mode.

The dark knight.

On a technical level, I would say TSN is a little bit more polished but I find TDK to be a lot more fun and Ledger's performance is truly a behemoth of acting.

The Social Network by a hair. It's a better structured and better written movie. In terms of screenplay, even a masterpiece like TDK doesn't measure up to a script this perfect. The movie is one of the rare examples where the technical mastery and writing are both equally perfect and end up making one of the greatest films of all time. Smartly written, emotionally resonant, witty, and an extremely intelligent plot structure, The Social Network wins (not easily, but definitively)

Both masterpieces but The Dark Knight wins because of the brilliant action sequences, the cinematography, the editing, the sound design, the effects and Ledger's performance as The Joker. But I still love The Social Network which had witty writing, a great instrumental score and brilliant editing.

The Social Network was better. The Dark knight is a basic crime thriller, with costumes.
