Shawshank all the way. Birdman was slow and strange.

Both are pretty overrated in my book, but I'm gonna take Birdman over Shawshank. Birdman may be pretentious. but at least it tries to be a tad more original and daring than most other movies out right now. Shawshank is just a decent feel-good movie.
Birdman has really grown on me over the years but I'd still go with Shawshank
