Sorcerer>The Deer Hunter
The Sorcerer was a great film off most movie fans radar but it can't match the superb artistry of The Deer Hunter.
Deer Hunter has like an hour of nothing in it though. Sorcerer is engaging throughout.

The first hour of Deer Hunter was designed to show you the lives just before the nightmare of war. The fear and anticipation . It made you care and understand how war changes your life no matter how stable you think you are. The film is not an action film but a depiction of the mental and physical anguish of war and how it penetrates the soul.

It didn't engagingly show me they're lives before the war then.
There needs to be an edit option on here. "their" lives, guess I just didn't connect with that first hour.
The first hour could of used some edits but I loved how the film showed an immigrant in America perspective.
