this one was tough, until i remembered the epic shoot-out in the end of Butch and Sundance... that is, until i remembered that the epic shoot-out at the end of Bonnie and Clyde was first... and the nod goes to Bonnie and Clyde!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid for its supremely better story telling value and Paul Newmans raw power

Very close, but the dynamic in Butch and Sundance brings it higher than Bonnie and Clyde could reach.

I give the edge to Bonnie and Clyde, if only for the two Genes (Hackman and Wilder).

Both good films about famous bank robber duos. It's hard to beat Paul Newman and Robert Redford though.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Both are boring, but Bonnie and Clyde is better.

I'm a gay man and a big Paul Newman fan, so you'd expect me to pick Butch here, but I tend to agree with Roger Ebert that it's a Western movie that's ashamed to be a Western. Bonnie and Clyde, on the other hand, knows exactly what it is and is proud of it--and without it, Butch might never have happened. Now if this were Bonnie and Clyde vs. The Sting.....

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

For m...no question, it's Butch and Sundance....

Bonnie & Clyde is great, but ultimately the iconic ending of Butch Cassidy gives it the edge over the abrupt ending of B&C
