Gerwig vs. Goddard. I love coming-of-age, and that'll give Lady Bird a comfortable advantage over a lot of films even if it had a few strange narrative decisions. Greta is still talented enough to deliver a gem and Saoirse Ronan is fantastic. Still, Les quatre cents coups gotta be it. It was way more involving and entertaining; and of course there isn't any weird narrative choices. It's almost unbeatable for me when it comes to coming-of-age. Both are also kinda autobiographical I guess, but which c-o-a isn't?
