L'Eclisse is my least favorite of Michelangelo Antonioni's trilogy of films starring the lovely Monica Vitti. It is beautiful to look at composition-ally speaking. I'm just not drawn into the plot or what have you. It's one of those movies I keep forgetting what it's about since it's more interesting visually. The Last Picture Show has a cast of characters that do hold my interest. Cybill Shepherd is no Vitti, but you can't have everything.
