Tokyo Sonata vs. The Great Escape

Both great films. Tokyo Sonata was sublime, and a most pleasant surprise for something almost entirely outside my spectrum of cinematic tastes, but on the other hand, The Great Escape is one of those films which I can just watch again and again, and in my opinion has actually held up a lot better than some of its contemporary war films in depicting a struggle against an enemy which isn't one-dimensional in its antagonism. Close, but The Great Escape just tops this one.
