Both powerful WWII films and among my all-time favorites. But Saving Private Ryan is the best war film period.

I'll got with you on "Saving Private Ryan" over the "The Big Red One" but I've hope you've seen Fuller's best war film, "The Steel Helmet" which I'd rate the highest of the three. Kubrick's "Paths of Glory" is the best war film overall for me.
