Nice one. Why has Hollywood completely sucked the fun out of horror movies? It's sad, really. Fortunately, these two were made some time ago. Phantasm's a blast, what with the Tall Man and the totally rad head-stabbing spheres. But the late, great Stan Winston designed and directed Pumpkinhead, and as we all know, Mr. Winston doesn't lose. He just doesn't. I think is says so in the Bible.

When Halloween rolls around both movies are on my watch list. Haggis was extra spooky, so I guess I would choose the old witch over the tall man's balls.

Phantasm was really scary and original.
