Early and late Michael Mann. Tough one, really tough. Can I give it a tie? Maybe I'll flip a coin.
Nice match up. I'll go Collateral...but Thief is definitely solid.

Thief is perhaps a bit too much style over substance, and the story is sort of cliche. Collateral is not as visually stunning, but narratively, it's more gripping.
