Cries and Whispers vs. Sawdust and Tinsel

Two Bergman pyschological dramas, and both of them incrediably pessimestic to boot? Interesting. I have to give the edge to Cries and Whispers because its characters are more engauging and its use of the color red intergal. Sawdust feels more like lesser Bergman to me, although it is an interesting film no the less.
