The Manitou vs. WR: Mysteries of the Organism

I'd say these both qualify as WTF? movies, though I guess WR: Mysteries of the Organism is going for some kind of actual meaning. I think it's something about Sex=Freedom, but I could be wrong. In some ways, WR is a bit too much of its time (the early 70's), and so the counterculture/political elements can be annoying. But, much of the film is interestingly bizarre. The Manitou is the Native American version of The Exorcist, basically. Some of the dialogue coming from Tony Curtis is so stupid that it must've been intentional. Since the rest of the movie is totally nuts, I imagine all the badness is on purpose to some extent. Or everybody was just on drugs during the production. I guess I'll go with The Manitou on this one. If WR would've focused more on the documentary parts and not descended so much into silliness toward the end, maybe it'd be a winner.
