Taxi Driver is probably a better film. But I absolutely, totally, completely love I Stand Alone. Gaspar Noe is an incredible force and he has yet to better this film. The rage is simply more potent, and even though it isn't as fully examined as the rage in Taxi Driver, I like the challenge is poses to the audience as a result.

As underappreciated as I Stand Alone may be, I still think Taxi Driver is the better film.
