Jack Torrance >>>>>>>>>> Leatherface.

The Shining

Iconic villains wielding iconic weapons, the axe and the chainsaw. I do agree The Shining is the better film with a higher ranking on my chart, but there's something about Texas Chain Saw's minimalist vision of an average getaway gone horribly wrong that probably makes it the more disturbing and intrusive flick.

Jack > Leatherface.

The shining is scarier and More disturbing because More of fear of the unknown and More psychological tone and music far More eerie but the thing with texas chainsaw massacre is its easily scariest slasher ever made but the problem is its slasher movie almost all kills and many stuff are predicable and there are still lot of kinda silly things for example how he jumps out of Windows and how in the end why they didint jus go with that truck and how the broom stuck is fucking weapon and some of the scenes feel now has aged poorly and dont have the effect like it used to like hitchhikker is kinda funny now and how he acts in that scene and the movie dosent realy make you think which is something that the shining does which makes it scarier

And shining feels much More mysterious and the tone makes it less predicable More scary and makes you think which makes it More scary also and shinings atmosphere feels More dark and isolated because of music More mysterious and the tone

The unknown is the key and most importantly reason why shining is More scary than texas chainsaw massacre because theres nothing More scarier than fear of the unknown and thats something wheres shining is masterful compared To texas chainsaw massacre and way better capturing that feel

Shining wins...

Shining easily.
