aah, the two "A S___ Man" movies of 2009. Lots of people got these two confused. Coen Brothers fans might prefer A Serious Man, but A Single Man really deeply involved me in the story.

A Single Man used to be my choice on this matchup, but I have since changed my mind. Sy Ableman FTW!

A Single Man had superior acting, directing, and atmosphere. A Serious Man was the most disappointing movie I have ever seen. Poor pacing, dialogue, and characters.

Both absolutly amazing movies and two of my favorite. However A Serious Man gets the win for me due to having; splendid symbolism, cool cinematography amazing acting, empathizable emotions and a wicked wit. It also presents Jewdaism in a sensitive manner without mocking it and showing a real sensitivity for the characters at hand. My current favorite movie.

This should have been the Best Actor race at the Oscars that year.

A Single Man is more involving. Colin Firth deserved an Oscar.
