Two of the worst Best Picture winners. I'll take Cavalcade because Cimarron is just that much worse.

Two early BP winners; both are very much representative of their times and cinematic idioms (and largely unwatchable as a result). Also, both attempt to transcend multiple decades in their telling. Cavalcade gets a narrow nod here, for me. While its story has been done since then, and better (Upstairs, Downstairs; The Remains of the Day; and of course, Downton Abbey), it still has a certain charm which Cimarron lacks.
