The World Is Not Enough vs. Moonraker

Moonraker crossed the line on how unrealistic Bond should be. I don't mind campy or suspending my disbelief, but I do mind laser guns and space ships in a British spy film.

Which of these ideas is more ridiculous? James Bond goes to space and has a laser battle, or Denise Richards is a nuclear physicist?

I actually think that the ridiculousness of the Bond movies is what makes them so appealing. I think The World is Not Enough is one of Pierce Brosnan's better Bond outings and I enjoy Moonraker even though it was a blatant attempt to cash in on the Star Wars craze. Between the two I'd pick The World is Not Enough. It's got a swifter plot, better action and who doesn't love the idea of Denise Richards playing a nuclear physicist named Christmas?

Both are pretty underrated if you ask me, I'll take Brosnan over Moore on this one.

World is not Enough wins easy.

The World Is Not Enough is not a good movie, but it seems like one when compared to the yawn-inducing Moonraker.

Denise Richards...nuclear physicist. End of story.

As boring and stupid as TWINE was, it didn't suck as badly as Moonraker.

Moonraker>The World is Not Enough

I love The World Is Not Enough. It’s the perfect mix of classic and modern Bond like SkyFall was 13 years later! Moonraker is a guilty pleasure of mine but it loses here!

Good opening teaser and Sophie Marceau, not a lot else going for it.
