For what it is, Spy Kids is actually not a bad little film. I haven't seen the gazillion sequels to know how precipitous a drop in quality they may have had, but though I predictably prefer Robert Rodriguez working in adult mode rather than kid mode, I didn't mind Spy Kids at all. The 1998 Avengers, though. What an incredible travesty of a wonderful TV show. Just abysmal, and one of the few films I actively despise.

I agree with all that you said. This adaptation of The Avengers TV show was god awful!
