Deadpool 2 vs. It's Such a Beautiful Day

While I acknowledge It's Such a Beautiful Day for its brilliance, it has two strikes against it - First the three installments that make up the feature-length film don't hold up as well individually as the whole story put together. Secondly, once you do get the whole picture, the film is a soul-crushing, albeit absurd, downer. DP2 had a lot more heart than it should have, though certainly not as much as Don Hertzfeldt put into his half-decadelong labor of love and life. That said, I'm going to give the win to DP2 because it was a pick-me-up that I know I will go back to again. It'll probably eventually fall from this lofty perch, but for today, it was the movie I needed and deserved.
