ending of 2 was better, but 3 was freakier? just...close run thing either way
Despite my hatred for these films, I gotta say that I had some fun with the both of them. I thought that 2 on a whole was just 'eh'. 3 was cool, had some interesting moments and all, and was just ultimately better than 2. The kitchen scene in the second was pretty awesome though. I'll give my nod to the third.

Gotta be the 2nd. I really liked the first two, the third was okay but nothing special, and the 4th was just pretty lackluster.

Oh man, these have been my two favorites in the series so far. I felt as though 3 went a little...over-the-top, if that makes sense? Some crazy shit was going down all throughout the second half, but there was some shoddy editing and too much hiding going on. It had its moments though, and made GREAT use of that oscillating camera. 2 was in control of itself all the time, with carefully timed and not too over-the-top scares. Plus the ending blew me away when I first saw it, although it doesn't seem like very much compared to 3's it may have left a bigger impact. I'm going to give this one to 2, but that might change.

Both had me at the edge of my seat trying to figure out where the next freaky moment was both as a whole are better than the first one.

I enjoy both of these a lot but the 2nd is my favorite of the bunch

I'm really starting to hate how Hollywood feelks the need to go back to the origins instead of moving a story forward. Paranormal Activity 3 is a perfect example of why.

Both are good but not great. I'll go with the sequel over the prequel.
