OK, people freezing to death on a ski lift vs. people dying en masse every which way. I could actually relate to the horror of the people in Frozen. Even though the whole situation was stupid, I felt bad for them. With 2012, almost everybody died. In that sort of scenario, there's nobody really to feel sorry for. No victims are singled out and there's not much to look forward to for the vast majority of the population. So, individual empathy is more my thing. When everybody dies... oh well.
