Key Largo vs. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre

Both films are directed by John Huston, both star Humphrey Bogart, and both came out the same year. The similarities pretty much end there as The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is one of the greatest adventure movies of the all time, while Key Largo (despite its lofty reputation) is a rather middling film noir. Fred C. Dobbs wins big.

I've always thought Treasure was just a touch overpraised. Key Largo is a somewhat unknown gem.
